Allow donations to be made in memory of or in honor of someone important in your life and email a card (optional).
When you enable Dedications, a "Donate in Memory/Honor" link is added on the first step in the GiveForm flow. This gives donors the opportunity to dedicate their contribution to a specific person.
When clicked, the donor is taken to the "Dedicate this Donation" page. Depending on your settings, they can choose if it’s "In Memory of," or "In Honor of," and enter the name of the person to dedicate it to. They can opt to make their donation recurring, and send an e-card to someone.
Navigate to Campaigns > Form > Dedications in the left navigation.
The Dedications are Disabled by default, so in the left pane click the toggle to turn it on and start configuring.
To use only a single option on your form, uncheck either the Enable Honorary Gifts or Enable Memorial Gifts checkboxes.
Once Dedications are enabled, donors can send an email about the donation and dedication to anyone they choose. To turn this off, click the Enabled toggle.
You can Upload up to nine images to give the donor choices to make the email more interesting and fun. The image will be cropped to a wide landscape format, so make sure the dimensions are 1200 x 500 px. Providing images is optional, but recommended.
When finished configuring dedication options, click the Save Changes button.
