Donation Form Appeal

Make an emotional appeal to your visitors with an image and short narrative.

After the basic donation form is set up you can add an Appeal. The appeal gives your organization a chance to tell a compelling story and inspire people to give. This is especially helpful when using the popup form, giving context to your campaign no matter where it is opened from.

On the desktop popup, the appeal appears on the left side of the form.

On mobile and on the embedded form, the appeal image appears above the form with an, “About this Fundraiser” link at the very top. The link leads to the full appeal info.

Content

Campaign form settings, appeal headline and subeadline

Enter a short Headline that succinctly introduces your campaign, and in the Subheadline field, enter an appeal description that gives more details—this is a great space to tell a compelling story and inspire people to give. Both of these fields are required.

Cover Photo

Campaign form settings, appeal cover photo

Select a Cover Photo to add visual interest to your form and make your appeal more compelling. The image will be cropped to a wide landscape format, so make sure the dimensions are 960 x 440 pixels. This image is required to display the appeal.

💡 Best Practices
  • Don’t include text in your image, or if you do include very little and ensure the font size is readable on smaller screens. The Cover Photo will be scaled down and cropped differently for mobile devices, so your text could be too small to be read or out of view entirely.
  • Take advantage of the Subheadline field for any text.

Goal

Campaign form settings, appeal goal

The Goal lets you set a target for your campaign and shows progress to prospective donors. This gives an idea of how a campaign is going and can increase interest and enthusiasm. Click the toggle to enable.

With Goal enabled, two additional features appear above the progress bar:

  • Show Total Donors displays how many donors have given to the campaign.
  • Show Donor Info adds a link to the donor count that, when clicked, displays a list of donors and donations.

You can disable these by unchecking the respective boxes.

Social Sharing

Campaign form settings, appeal social sharing

Social Sharing adds a Share this Fundraiser button to the bottom of the appeal panel. When clicked, this opens a popup with social media and email sharing options.

When finished editing, click the Save Changes button.
